This comes with many options for adjusting color temperature and power levels. 80, 110, 140 watts are about the power levels, but it varies a couple percent depending on which color is selected. Highest power in 5000K mode, then 3000K and finally 4000K drew the least power. Instructions say not to adjust these switches while power is applied. There is also a dimming wire pair which can be wired to a 0-10V circuit to allow for dimming in tandem with other lights with similar capability. A 3-prong plug is prewired, but one can cut the male end off and hard wire it into a junction box. While no provision is made for a safety wire, they hanging hook has both a set screw to prevent unscrewing and a safety screw to prevent the hook. With these, it shouldn't have much chance of falling, but one should also consider securing the wire or something else to prevent potential head injuries if used on a boat or earthquake prone area. For the price, there might be cheaper options, but this light is well made and the flexibility of colors should help it find a place in any shop. It contributes a pleasing light if hung from height, and puts out good light for its power consumption.
This thing is a tank, structurally speaking. It's easy to set to whatever color temp you desire. I bench tested this light to determine if I wanted to design and include a voltage regulating/limiting circuit to extend the life span of the integrated LED chips, which I decided to do. On the bench, the LEDs reach about 98% of their maximum operating voltage at 10V (dimmable maximum). So, since I do not intend to dim any of my high bay lights, I just put an inline circuit in place to limit the "max" voltage to the unit to 9V. The unit is still incredibly bright but will last far longer with this circuit functioning this way. Also, it allows me to protect each bay light individually, yet have them all on the same switching circuit. I let it run at 9V for over an hour and although it got nice and warm, it never got so hot to the touch, that I'd ever have to worry about it. Highly recommended.
This is an extremely bright light. I did notice that when I plugged it in to the outlet my FM radio went static. When I unplugged the light, it went clear again. I tried other outlets and it created static in my FM radio everywhere I went. This is not the same in other LED lights I have used. I often listen to the radio while I work and this is the reason I rated it a 4 instead of 5.The light has a great cast aluminum housing and seems very sturdy. The hook is easily hung with a security screw to keep it hanging without falling off if someone was to hit it with something. I would buy this lamp if I needed ultra bright lighting and used internet radio or FM radio was not something you use.I plan to eliminate the fluorescent lights and order all LEDs as the color is much better and it is much brighter than the 220W fluorescent lights. Remember this fixture needs to be hung high in order to get the broadest light coverage. I have mine hung at 14' and I am not sure I would want to go any less than that with this level of output.
Excellent choice for my workroom! The KUKUPPO LED High Bay Light is super bright and adjustable. I love that I can change the color temperature and brightness to suit my needs. Installation was easy, and the 5' cable with a plug made it plug-and-play. Impressed with the build quality and UL&DLC listing. Highly recommended for industrial and commercial?spaces!
